Why I'm Running
Meet Alyssa Nia Williams
Meet Nia
I am Alyssa Nia Williams, and I am running for Georgia Senate District 15 because I believe where you live should not determine your quality of life.
I grew up in a single parent household and became a mother at a young age. I understand what it means to work hard, take care of your family, and still face barriers that make it harder to move forward. I earned my GED, went on to earn my college degree, and later my Master of Business Administration. My journey taught me that hard work matters, but access and opportunity matter too.
Over the years, I have worked in the community helping connect residents to resources, organizing community initiatives, supporting families in times of need, and working with local organizations to address issues like food access, school support, and community safety. Through this work, I have listened to people across our district and I keep hearing the same concerns: safe and affordable housing, access to healthcare, better opportunities for our young people, support for working families, and a government that responds when people need help.
I am not running for a title. I am running to serve, to listen, and to work on real problems that affect real people in Muscogee, Marion, Taylor, Macon, Talbot, Schley, and Chattahoochee counties.
This campaign is about people. It is about making sure our communities are heard, represented, and not overlooked. I would be honored to earn your vote and your trust.
